Not a Christmas movie. Just a really great one. If you can remove all references to Christmas from the movie and it won't hurt the plot at all, then it's NOT a Christmas movie. In Enemy of the State (again, an EXCELLENT MOVIE!!), you can easily change the Christmas stuff to a November birthday plot and it wouldn't change anything.

FINALLY my daughter has stopped watching Frozen, stopped wearing overpriced Elsa and Anna clothes. However, yesterday she did put an Olaf decoration on the tree. She is almost cured. And I don’t have to play let it go and do you want to build a snowman on guitar. Yeah,!

You make a valid point about how they distribute these awards, but that doesnt mean the recipients of those awards are 100% undeserving. Sometimes they’re on point and the revenant was one of those that deserved it.

Moby Dick is considered a classic novel. Has won awards, but is still a crappy book. Just because something wins an award, is written or acted out by someone "famous or talented" doesn't mean that it's good. Especially, when talking about awards. Most of those "winners" are all about the politics and /or money behind the scenes. Meryl Streep would have some more of those little statues if the awards were actually based on talent and who deserved it versus doing things like being "politically correct " or "giving others a chance to shine".
